acrobatic isn't easy, and can't be accomplished overnight; but, if you
are committed and ready to learn, it can be a very rewarding experience.

Steps
-
1
Search for gyms and studios around your area. Usually, one won't have to travel more than ten or twenty minutes to find a dance/gymnastics gym.
-
2
Enroll in gymnastics classes. This is the most
important step, and must be done in order to complete the succeeding
steps. Try to find a class with students around the same experience
level as you and also the same age. Focus mainly on taking gymnastics
classes, but try to take ballet if you can-- this will help with
flexibility and toning.
-
3
Stretch and work out EVERYDAY! This is especially important and should be encouraged by the instructor of your classes.
-
4
After you have gained skill in these areas, look for a circus school to narrow down your specialty.
While you'll probably be forced to learn nearly every trade of the
circus, work outside of class on one thing you like the most and want to
improve at. Be it contortionism, aerials, or tumbling/trampoline. Also,
continue your daily stretching and toning regime.
-
5
Once you are properly trained, look for auditions. Don't be afraid to start small. Once you get a job, it's easy to work from there-- all the way up to Cirque du Soleil.
