Becoming a better forward will not just help you player as a better forward but other positions as well. This article will help you be just that!

  1. 1
Have the 4 main attributes; Speed, strength, shooting and agility training.

  2. 2
Eat a healthy and balanced diet, then only you will be able to improve. For speed you will need to run quick 50-100m sprints 3 or 4 times a week, then try and improve your time.
  3. 3
Exercise. Strength exercises depend on your age. For 10-15 year olds it would be better to do 10x 10 pushups everyday and increase the amount of pushups every week or so, 20x 5 sit ups and 15x10 squats. For 15 and above you could start weight training.
  4. 4
Practice shooting. There are a number of shooting techniques which are used for different positions. If you want to place the ball ball in the net rather than smash it in it would be good idea to side foot it (you can also side foot it for curling the ball but you would need to use more power). For raw power use you laces and hit the ball as hard as you can, and outside foot is only really used if you are very right foot (or left).
  5. 5
Other attributes such as heading could be improved as well. For that to happen you could a tie ball onto a piece of rope and hang it somewhere, then jump up to header it, every time shorten the string and attempt to jump higher.
