Steps
-
1Check when your school is holding Sports Day; find information by checking notice boards in school, letters from school or the school's website (if it has one).Ad
-
2Plan beforehand how you want to get out of it. You can fake illness and stay off for the day or fake an injury on the day it is held, but before the event commences.Ad
Method 1 of 2: Alternative Method 1
-
1If your parents simply don't care about your participation in the event, explain to them that it is just an entire day of sports and no lessons or studying. Try your hardest to make it clear that you would rather learn than do sports.
-
2This will likely please your parents as well as get you out of doing Sports Day.Ad
Method 2 of 2: Alternative Method 2
-
1Make sure your parents are the less strict type; if you use this method with stricter parents, it won't work and you'll be in trouble.
-
2About a week before that day you've been dreading, mimic symptoms of stress. Search for 'stress symptoms' online to find out what to imitate, but don't bring in new symptoms and worsen the old ones too quickly.
-
3Stay up late on every night during the week you are imitating stress. Your parents will obviously know something is up if you seem unusually tired.
-
4The moment your parents start getting worried about you (or about two days before Sports Day), say you would like to have a quick chat with your parents. Tell them that you've been stressed about Sports Day during the week and explain it clearly. After a little while start crying for it to be more believable.
