Steps
-
1Choose the sport that you want to coach. It doesn't have to be a sport you're especially good at, but it should definitely be a sport you are very passionate about.Ad
-
2Observe coaches around you to see what their technique is.
-
3Volunteer: It's best to become and assistant coach before you do the real thing, so that you will have an experience.
-
4Know: It's key to know A LOT about to sport you want to coach. You need to know skills and drills, the basics, and the not so basic stuff. You also need to be able to play the sport of course and have a history of you and that sport.
-
5Have patience: Most likely people won't always get it the first time they try so be as patient as possible without being a pushover.
-
6Authority: You need to be able to control kids or whoever your working with, and you can't be shy, people won't listen to you and follow your instructions if you're shy.
